Business automation · Melbourne and Australia

Automated reporting for your weekly business checks.

Every week, you open the same tools, copy the same figures and put them into another sheet or email. I help turn that recurring reporting job into an agreed workflow with clear sources and checks.

Start with the question behind the report.

A weekly business report might help you review completed work, outstanding invoices or upcoming bookings. Before automating it, I ask what you use the report to decide. That keeps the scope focused on information you actually need, rather than producing a longer document to read.

Automated reporting can suit tradies reviewing job progress, clinics and studios checking bookings, and venues or clubs keeping track of recurring work. I’m Matthew, based in Melbourne and working across Australia. Bring the report you currently prepare, even if it is a rough spreadsheet with notes in the margins.

Make the weekly routine explicit.

A possible workflow is: agreed reporting time → collect records from an agreed source → apply the reporting period and status rules → prepare a summary for review. The output might be a sheet or an email, depending on what your tools support and how you want to use the information.

The definitions matter. Does a completed job count when it is finished or when its record is updated? Does an invoice total include drafts? Which date marks the end of the reporting week? I work through those questions with your examples so the automated report follows the rule you agreed.

Missing information needs a visible outcome too. The scope should distinguish an empty result from a source that could not be read, and say what needs your attention. I can look at Xero, MYOB, Google Workspace, Shopify and booking or job apps. I check what your tools support before agreeing the scope.

Check a report against the records behind it.

Bring a normal reporting period and one with an adjustment or missing record. I use those examples to agree the inputs, the output and the checks before go-live. A report should let you understand where a figure came from, rather than leave you guessing which records were counted.

The First Automation offer below is for one workflow end to end. If you need several reporting jobs or a custom view, compare the other service offers and custom dashboards. The Payments and refunds page explains the payment and refund terms.

For example: a finished job becomes an invoice drafted in Xero, or a booking becomes a confirmation and calendar entry.

  2. 2. I build

I agree the scope and price with you, then build it. You check it with real examples before it goes live.

  3. 3. It goes live

I hand over the working tool and a guide, with a follow-up check-in at an agreed time.

Straight answers.

Can the report use my existing weekly format?

Send an example with your enquiry or show it on a call. I check which parts are supplied by your tools and which depend on manual judgement before agreeing the output.

What if a figure changes after the report is prepared?

The scope should say whether a report is a snapshot or gets refreshed. I also agree how corrections are handled so you can tell which reporting period you are reading.

Can it highlight records I need to check?

That can be part of the agreed output. Show me the exceptions you currently look for, such as a missing status or an incomplete job record, so the rules are explicit.

What would you stop retyping?
